Chaverim of Cleveland recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, and the volunteer organization showed its appreciation to its members with a dinner event sponsored by local individuals who wanted to express their hakoras hatov for the help Chaverim delivers to the community each and every day.
Close to 1000 help calls were answered by Chaverim in its first year, and this was duly noted by Cleveland Heights Councilman Jason Stein, who presented a “Certificate of Appreciation” to the Chaverim staff on behalf of the city. Stein has been instrumental in assuring the city’s cooperation in making Chaverim the success it has become.
The evening concluded with a video presentation produced for the event, featuring local rabbonim and citizens who were helped by Chaverim offering their thanks and chizuk for all that they do.
