As someone who has put a lot of effort and years into making sure Segula is successful, it pains me to hear all the comments about why they are not attending the concert this Sunday. While I understand that it is impossible to please everyone in the community, Segula tries hard to bring in performers that will bring in a crowd and entertain appropriately. Every year, I hear criticism on who Segula should have brought in. Segula is not about concerts and performers.
It is about the special children in our community who deserve to be educated in an environment rich in Yiddishkeit. They deserve to be educated in the same environment as their siblings. This was not possible until Segula was created. These holy neshamos were forced to attend public school, or even parochial school. While we certainly appreciate the checks, we ask for you to come and show your support. Come to applaud the wonderful teachers and staff, who teach our children, and most of all, please come to applaud all of our special neshamos who keep our community and not the other way around.
Thank you.

Kudos to the staff of Segula for the exceptional work they do with these special children. Where would these children be now if not for Segula? Kudos to the schools that work together with Segula in mainstreaming these special children. Kudos to the teachers and classmates of these special children for making them feel part of the class.
Extra special thanks and kudos the Neuman’s for having the vision to create Segula and for their extraordinary efforts in making Segula the success it is.
Just look at these children when they are in school, with their friends.
Segula is about the Jewish children, the Yiddishe Neshomos who would otherwise be lost.
Segula serves all. It is our responsibility as a community to support Segula. We must come out in force to support Segula. Let us show Segula how important it is by attending the concert.
May the bashefer give those who are in the Segula leadership the strength to continue in the Holy work.

You are so very right, Mrs. Neuman. It’s all about SEGULA and not the performer. I hope the auditorium is packed to standing room only. People need to know that the proceeds from this event fund SEGULA for the entire year.
