When Elie Koval was 10 years old, he never realized that Maxine Koblenz, his speech therapist from the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland, would be responsible for the positivity of his growth today.
“She got you, the student, involved, in what she was teaching,” said Koval, national accounts manager at MFS Supply in Solon. “She made you feel like you wanted to engage in the work. That’s not easy when you’re 10.”
Esther Leah Greenberger says
Mrs. Koblenz was always there for everyone. She was there for me personally when I began my career. She encouraged me to ask for help and always gave assistance with a warm smile. Enjoy your retirement, Mrs. Koblenz. Thank you for everything you did for me.

Maxine, as my children’s speech interventionist or as a colleague at Hebrew Academy, was always a role model of positive professionalism. She conveyed her messages in an enthusiastic way, always choosing to enhance growth and compliment the best of each individual, making it shine and prevail over downfalls. She made everyone believe they were doing excellently which made them do just that! May your unique warmth continue to inspire those who came in contact with you and make them pass on your very special attributes making your presence always felt around us!
