(The following is from a Letter to the CJN. The website that it is referring to is ClevelandJewishHistory.net which is a very useful resource in studying Cleveland Jewish history.)
I am glad to inform the Cleveland Jewish News and its readers of a new website dedicated to the memory of my grandfather, Rabbi Israel Porath zt”l, who served Cleveland’s Oheb Zedek, N’vai Zedek and Heights Jewish Center for nearly five decades. For many years, as leader of the Orthodox Rabbinical Council (Merkaz Harabbanim), he was regarded as the dean of Cleveland’s Orthodox rabbis.
Family members in Cleveland and in Israel furnished pictures, clippings and stories to Arnold Berger, who used them to create a new section of the Cleveland Jewish History website.
We hope that many who remember Porath and those who wish to learn more about him will visit these new pages. They are easily found by searching “Cleveland Jewish history.”

Very interesting indeed. Some more information including a link to an article written by another family member is available (in Hebrew) here: http://www.otzar.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=13056
