(University Heights City Newsletter, Mayor Susan Infeld )
With outdoor recreation in mind, I want to update you on the park that will be located on the former Fuchs Mizrachi School property. The City has hired Braun & Steidl Architects to facilitate the planning for the future use of this property. Braun & Steidl Architects have extensive experience in community and park planning and will facilitate the process of designing a park.
They will meet with the Park Committee in a series of meetings to design the property with features that will appeal to the community. From there, they will develop a master plan and design concept that will be presented to the community and the City Council. Whether park features are installed all at once or in phases will be determined as the wish list unfolds. I am excited that the park will be designed with resident input and invite you to participate. The first meeting will be held in mid‐August so stay tuned for details! Meeting dates will be announced in the newsletter, through the email alert notification, and on the City’s website.

Public parks always enhance the quality of a neighborhood. I wholeheartedly support the plan.
