Former Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Ephraim Sneh, will be the keynote speaker at the Friends of the IDF (FIDF) Ohio Chapter Annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights, OH.
Dr. Ephraim Sneh, M.D., an Israeli politician, physician, and retired Brigadier General in the Israel Defense Forces, served as a member of the Knesset from 1992-2008. Most recently he served as Chairman of the Knesset sub-committee on Defense Planning and Policy from 2003-2006. Sneh also served as the Deputy Minister of Defense from 1999-2001. He is currently the Chairman of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue at Netanya Academic College and President of Silver Bullet Ltd.
“The Ohio Gala brings together the entire state in support of our Jewish homeland and the soldiers who defend it,” said Lane Schlessel, FIDF Ohio Chapter Director. “Together we ensure that the IDF soldiers’ spirit remains strong by letting them know they will never stand alone.”
Elie Weiss, FIDF Ohio Chapter Co-Chairman, also added, “Now is the time to reassure Israel that we are supporting her. With so much uncertainty surrounding the Middle East, our soldiers need us now more than ever.”
