Participate in the power of community and volunteer for Super Sunday, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s fun-filled, family-friendly phone-a-thon in support of the 2014 Campaign for Jewish Needs. Super Sunday will be held at the Federation’s Mandel Building, 25701 Science Park Drive in Beachwood, on October 20, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Volunteering for Super Sunday is a great opportunity to practice our Jewish values of tzedakah (charity)and tikkun olam (repairing the world),” said Lisa Linden, Super Sunday Co-Chair. “It’s about caring for our local and global communities, and aspiring to leave no community member behind.”
The Federation’s annual Campaign for Jewish Needs ensures our community’s vitality and vibrancy in the year ahead. “These funds matter to our friends and neighbors, to individuals and families here at home, in Israel, and in 70 countries around the globe,” said J. David Heller, General Campaign Chair. “By working together, we can change lives, change our community, and change the world.”
Super Sunday Co-Chairs are Lisa and Philip Linden, Cari and Eric Marderstein, and Caroline and Eliav Sharvit. Sponsors of Super Sunday are Key Bank, Benesch, and the Cleveland Jewish News.
Volunteers may choose from five shifts throughout the day beginning at 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. Childcare is available by reservation, and children’s activities take place throughout the day.
