Many times I want to send a youtube link to someone – but often the “suggestions” that are displayed at the end of the video are inappropriate.
Below is how to change the link so that those suggestions don’t pop up.
Most links you see look something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Notice the player is called “watch” and the “v” parameter is the video ID.
You need to change the “watch” player to the “v” player, insert the
video ID in the link and add a “rel=0” parameter. To this …

NOW FOR OUR POLICY ON YOUTUBE:
LocalJewishNews.com has with only a few exceptions published YouTube videos but as less and less of the Torah video hosting sites are around these days should we now post videos from YouTube given the above tip to remove recommendations at the end of the video?
We would like to hear your thoughts so please leave these in the comments sections. Ultimately we will discuss this issue with local Rabbonim, but your feedback is appreciated to arrive at the most though out psak.

This method work but it repeated the video clip a second time without audio before reverting back to the original video clip’s window

I wish someone would start “Jewtube” a completely kosher website with only kosher music and videos. There are so many educational videos that are really useful to learn from and wonderful kosher torahdig music and videos that our neshamas can grow from watching and listening. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about inappropriate “suggestions” because everything would be appropriate!
