SOL GANZ, age 104, passed away August 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Rose; loving father of Steve (the late Judith), Esther Muencz (Tamas) and William (the late Judy); dear grandfather of Amy Ganz, Hayley Leichter (Mark), Jeffrey Muencz (Jill), Michelle Ganz, David Ganz, and the late Norman Ganz; loving great grandfather of seven.
A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR originally from Bereznitza, Poland, Mr. Ganz arrived in Cleveland, via Italy, in August 1951. He spent his life dedicated to his faith, family and friends. He lived his last 14 years at the Montefiore Home surrounded by kind and dedicated caregivers. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Monday, August 11 at 1 PM. Interment Zion Memorial Park (Green Road Synagogue section). The family will observe shivah at the Tamas and Esther Muencz residence, 2570 Elmhurst Dr., Beachwood.
