The Hebrew Academy of Cleveland has signed a letter of intent to purchase the 92-acre Cleveland Heights portion of the former Oakwood Country Club from First Interstate Properties of Lyndhurst.
In a Sept. 8 email to Hebrew Academy faculty and parents, Rabbi Simcha Dessler, the educational director, said the academy has been granted an option to buy the property, just west of Warrensville Center Road. The academy’s executive board voted unanimously to proceed, and the decision was confirmed Sept. 7 by its board of directors.
