The AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) Policy Conference is where pro-Israel activists come together to influence policy, strengthen the bond between the United States and Israel, and ensure that Israel remains strong and secure. Thousands of people gather from around the country to participate in three of the most important days affecting Israel’s future.
This award is provided from a scholarship fund established by the Wuliger family at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
Guidelines:
The guidelines below express preferences, not absolute requirements. No applicant is expected to satisfy all guidelines; the more guidelines which are met by an applicant, the greater the likelihood of receiving the scholarship. The weighting of each guideline is at the discretion of the Award Committee.
- Age 25-40 years old
- Understanding of Israel’s history
- Previous Israel travel
- Involvement as a volunteer in the non-profit sector
- Participation in one or more campaigns of candidates for public office
- Work experience as an employee or volunteer in the office of a member or a committee of the U.S. House or Senate, or in a state legislature
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Has not attended any of the three AIPAC Policy Conferences prior to the 2015 Conference
- Native Clevelander or strong connection to Northeast Ohio
