Home-furnishings giant Ikea announced Tuesday that it is planning a second Ohio store — in Columbus, not Greater Cleveland.
But that news shouldn’t discourage the retailer’s fans in Northeast Ohio, where the Swedish company has been scouring for sites and has land under contract in Brooklyn.
Joseph Roth, an Ikea spokesman, stressed that the Columbus announcement doesn’t preclude or push off a potential project in Cleveland.
