Menorah Park Center for Senior Living is one of the largest nursing home, rehabilitation center, and senior living communities in the State of Ohio. Based in an upscale suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, our not-for-profit Jewish sponsored organization consists of three state of the art apartment residences; four home health branches; adult day care; outpatient therapy practices; with the largest aspect of our services being our nursing home and rehabilitation center.
The Chaplaincy and Religious Services Director is an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi who directs and coordinates chaplaincy, spiritual living and religious activities for the diverse senior living population of the Menorah Park campus.
Recognizing that Menorah Park serves Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and unaffiliated Jewish clients, as well as non-Jewish clients, the Chaplaincy and Religious Services Director ensures that all Menorah Park clients have access to quality and innovative opportunities to enrich and find comfort in their spiritual and religious life.
This position is now open and we seek a candidate for a special one year appointment. After one year, the candidate may be offered an appointment for a longer duration.
Essential Qualifications:

Chaplaincy: Must be experienced and trained to provide chaplaincy services to diverse clients with varied spiritual and religious beliefs.

Leadership: Must possess sufficient leadership skills to develop, plan, provide and maintain spiritual living and religious programs and services used and desired by clients, families and guests, and to interrelate successfully with other Menorah Park staff from various departments.

Diversity: Must possess the skills, knowledge and aptitude to provide counseling services, education services and religious programs to diverse Jewish and non-Jewish clients of the Menorah Park campus.

Orthodox: Must be experienced and comfortable at providing Orthodox Jewish religious services in the Menorah Park synagogue on a daily basis, on the Sabbath and on Jewish holidays. Must have received training and certification from a recognized Orthodox educational and learning center.

Kashruth: Must be knowledgeable to direct high standard of kashruth supervision on campus.

Management: Must possess management and supervision skills to effectively direct the three other Rabbis of the Spiritual Living Department.

Education: Must have depth in the practices and traditions of the Jewish religion and education skills to direct and provide various Jewish learning activities on campus.

Relationships with Local Rabbis: Must develop positive relationships with local Orthodox Rabbis, as well as with Reform and Conservative Rabbis, and non-Jewish Clergy to serve non-Jewish clients.
