(Press Release)
Yeshiva High’s 9th-grade class has unanimously achieved general studies honor roll.
The school, which currently is located in the Taylor Road Synagogue, opened its doors in September, 2014.
“Our inaugural class certainly has set the tone for future students,” said school director Rabbi Yeshai Kutoff. “Straight A’s for all students — which is what our boys accomplished — is something great to live up to.”
Yeshiva High’s general studies program employs the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT), an on- line charter school. “The ECOT curriculum is in full public view and therefore the bar is set very high,”said General Studies Principal Philip Mulivor. “It’s a rigorous academic program with top accreditation, which makes our students’ accomplishment this year very meaningful,” he said.
“We like ECOT’s flexibility,” Mulivor added. “This fall, one of our 10th-graders will be doubly enrolled in ECOT and online college courses, an arrangement that ECOT encourages and pays for.”
Before pursuing the ECOT curriculum, Yeshiva High students spend the morning and early afternoon immersed in Judaic studies. “I was very impressed by the learning that these students demonstrated,” said Rabbi Boruch Hirschfeld, the esteemed Rosh Kollel who administered the yearly bechina (test on the Talmud). “It was a pleasure to see their accomplishment.”
“We’re looking forward to a great year this fall,” said Rabbi Kutoff. “We’ll be welcoming some fine new boys. The school will more than double in size when we begin our second year in August.”

Kudos to Rabbi Yeshai Kutoff on the wonderful job he is doing and more so for taking up the slack that others did not want to be bothered with. Best wishes for continued success.
