(Councilman Jason Stein’s Blog)
At City Council’s Committee meeting on Monday evening, the City Manager and staff presented Council with two choices for the City’s debt ridden water system. Join 52 other Cuyahoga County communities in becoming a Direct Service community of the regional Cleveland Water District (and LOWER the water rate as a result) or raise the water rate (and hope we can fix enough of the systems problems to make it profitable for the City).
AL says
Low Income Cleveland Hts residents currently do not receive a discount on their water bills. Cleveland Water gives a 40% discount for low income homeowners, as well a conservation program, to save water usage, which includes repairs on water lines.
Switching to Cleveland Water, may help many struggling families in our community.
