Traffic on South Green Road was at a near standstill and the parking lots at Notre Dame College and the new South Euclid-Lyndhurst branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library were almost full as 2 p.m. Sunday approached.
At 2 p.m., the library branch, after almost three years of discussion, controversy and anticipation, opened its doors for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and three-hour open house. The event was attended by hundreds of regular library users and those lured by the curiosity of wanting to see the interior of the 30,000-square-foot building, 1876 S. Green Road.
