Customers of Heinen’s Grocery Store and Tibor’s Kosher Meats on South Green Road in University Heights likely have noticed that the traffic lights adjacent to the stores’ lots are gone.
About 5 a.m. Feb. 9, a private snowplow driver was plowing the lot at 2193 S. Green Road – across the street from Heinen’s – when his truck accidentally struck a guide wire holding up a city utility pole and four traffic signals. The pole was knocked down, and the lights came down as well, police said.
