The Beachwood Police Department is outfitting its officers and cruisers with high-tech body cameras and dashboard cameras.
Beachwood City Council on Monday approved the purchase of 55 body cameras for officers and 15 advanced camera systems for cruisers.
The city is using $208,961 in funds seized or forfeited during criminal investigations to buy the cameras. There will be no cost to taxpayers, officials said in a news release.
