More About Us
Ohr Chadash plans to service boys going into 4th and 5th, and 7th and 8th grades. 4th and 5th grade will be hosted in the Taylor Road building. 7th and 8th will be at the Oakwood campus.
Our goal is to service children whose learning and behavior challenges prevent them from thriving in a mainstream classroom setting.
Founded by parents, and guided by the renowned Mrs. Lea Schlesinger (MS special ed) of Monsey, NY, Ohr Chadash’s outstanding team of devoted supervisors include Liat Shyken, MA, CCC-SLP, general supervisor, and Hadassa Meyers, MA, supervisor of general studies.
Our team of therapists and educators will work together to nurture each child’s growth, developing their latent abilities, rebuilding their self-esteem, and eventually enabling them to successfully mainstream.
The self-contained classrooms will operate seamlessly within the framework of the Hebrew Academy, ensuring utmost discretion and virtually eliminating stigma.
Ohr Chadash’s extensive extracurricular and enrichment program will be coordinated with the daily curriculum and schedule. The students of the track will be eligible for woodworking, first aid, outdoor survival skills, art, and gym, among other offerings.
Our goal is to help each child learn in an atmosphere infused with happiness, a love for Torah, and a love for learning.
For an application please call Mrs. Hadassa Meyers at 216-570- 1596.
