(Cleveland Jewish News)(ED: Right by Section 164)
It’s no mirage.
The kosher hot dog stand at Progressive Field is back in business, said Rabbi Shimon Gutman of Cleveland Kosher.
The stand was open for the Cleveland Indians’ May 15 game against the Minnesota Twins on an unseasonably cold day at the downtown stadium.
The stand was temporarily shut down when Cleveland Kosher discovered that the stand had been “compromised” due to its use during Shabbat when a rabbi couldn’t be there to supervise. Now, Gutman said, they will maintain two sets of equipment, with the kosher set secured when not in use.
