Ohr Chadash is a track of self-contained classes hosted and housed by the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland. It is designed to educate and support children who have been struggling in their mainstream environment.
We are pleased to introduce some of the specialists on staff at the Ohr Chadash program:
Mrs. Liat Shyken MA, CCC-SLP
General Supervisor
Liat earned her bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia, and her M.A.Speech Language Pathology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
She is an experienced speech-language pathologist with extensive experience in middle and high school environments. Her expertise include language, social and communicative difficulties. Liat is skilled in conducting speech-language assessments and application to real-world settings, with specific experience in Autism Spectrum and behavior disorders.
Hadassa Meyers MA
General Studies Supervisor
Hadassa earned her Masters of Arts in special education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1999. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in early Childhood Education from Stern College, Yeshiva University.
Hadassa’s expertise is in coordinating service plans for individual students; mentoring classroom teachers, Title I instructors, and tutors on how to modify curricula for students’ special education needs; and consulting with parents and school administrators on how to best serve students in and out of the classroom.
Hadassa has been coordinating educational and related services at A+ Solutions for the past 10 years.
