Last year, the Buckeye Kosher BBQ Festival was an incredible success with attendance outpacing our expectations More than 1,000 festival-goers attended. The Festival this year will be on Sunday, August 28 at Wolfe Park between 3pm – 7 pm and will feature Ribs.
Our pitmaster this year is Max McGarity. Max is an award-winning pitmaster who has competed at events such as the Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, Canal Winchester Ribs Festival and the Food Truck Festival. He has been featured in 614 magazine and cooking on Fox 28 morning show.We will also host Bill Foley for the musical entertainment. Most recently Bill found notoriety as a terrorist fighter musician during the machete attack on the Nazareth Restaurant and Deli in northeast Columbus earlier this year. Bill was one of four who were injured in the attack. Foley’s surgeries and rehab have been successful and he has been performing in front of record crowds around central Ohio. The festival will also bring back more exciting kids attractions: climbing wall, challenging inflatables face painting and crafts as well as exhibiting artists and vendors. Activity bands for the amusements are $5/each with a $25 family cap.The festival will also feature kids’ attractions such as a climbing wall, challenging inflatables, as well as Bexley’s own Piccadilly indoor play center and parent oasis.
