hmm says
Per the Indians’ twitter account, Jim Thome, not Dan Eleff, is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Game 7, so…
JimThome says
This is a joke being posted as news. Jim Thome is throwing out the first pitch. What is happening to LJN? Advertisements and jokes, but no news!
DanFan says
Dan is throwing a cerimonial pitch pre game. NOT the first pitch. That will be Jim Thome.
Hot Dog Stand says
It was always billed as the “Ceremonial First Pitch” and took place before the announcements of the starting lineups and the National Anthem. The “First Pitch” which was indeed thrown by Jim Thome (a controversial choice) happens just before the teams take the field. This was never a joke. It was not a Kiddush Hashem on the level of Sandy Koufax not pitching on Yom Kippur afternoon, but the sight of Dan’s tzitzis flapping in the breeze was nice to see.
