Starts Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
During the holiday, the following items are exempt from sales and use tax:
- Clothing priced at $75 per item or less;
- School supplies priced at $20 per item or less; and
- School instructional material priced at $20 per item or less.

- School and athletic uniforms are included
- Costumes (but not the masks if sold separably) are included (think Purim!)
- Diapers are included!!!
- The exemption applies to items selling for $75 or less. If an item of clothing sells for more than $75, tax is due on the entire selling price.
- Reference books, reference maps and globes, textbooks, and workbooks are included
- Qualified items sold to consumers by mail, telephone, e-mail, or Internet shall qualify for the sales tax (read the FAQ regarding additional details)
- The sales tax holiday is set by law and all vendors must comply.
