Over the last several months, Gesher has partnered with Longtree & Associates to bring elevated healthcare education to the Buckeye state! As the long term care services market continues to
flourish with new opportunities, healthcare education is continuously a primary focus of medical professionals, skilled nursing facilities, and long-term care providers nationwide.
Recognizing the increase of job opportunities from long-term care providers across the state, Gesher has begun working with local employers to identify qualified candidates to fill these
positions. “Educated and well-trained staff is integral to any competitive company. Whether it’s in regulatory compliance, marketing, or most importantly caregiving, employers have made it
clear that they expect nothing less than the highest standards from their employees,” said David Gross, Director of Operations of Gesher Cleveland.
Gesher, a local non-profit, has been servicing University Heights/Beachwood and surrounding area residents since 2013. In the last two-plus years, Gesher has seen rapid success in their career
services division with over 100 placements to date. After establishing key relationships with many area employers, they’ve taken the next steps to identify and address career-specific educational opportunities.
Longtree & Associates based out of NJ, has been at the forefront of healthcare education for more than twenty years. Offering board-certified courses across the spectrum, they have helped
thousands of professionals achieve meaningful and lasting success in reaching executive and front-line professional status. Working with Gesher over the last few months, Longtree has
recently been approved by Ohio BELTSS to offer NAB and CEU courses. “I’m really excited to return to the Buckeye state. The LTC industry has seen a tremendous growth here and it’s a great
time for people to build careers in healthcare. We plan on bringing the Core of Knowledge course to Cleveland making it more accessible to the greater Cleveland area, saving many people
the schlep to Columbus, said Laurie Loughney, CEO of Longtree. Loughney began her career as an LNHA working for the Voca Corporation in Columbus, back in 1990. She established
Longtree & Associates along with her husband, Patrick in 1998. Longtree offers educational training, seminars, and consulting services to healthcare companies nationwide.
Longtree and Gesher are planning a two-day CEU approved seminar in conjunction with Certus Healthcare for mid-March. The event will be held at Suburban Healthcare and Rehabilitation
Center in North Randall, more information to follow.
