We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Shimon Zeffren, ob”m, father of Mrs. Penina Simon and Mrs. Rivkie Gruen. Mrs. Simon and Gruen are sitting Shiva for their father until Sunday morning, Jan. 12th, at 13 Engelberg Terrace, Lakewood, NJ.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Erna Laufer, ob”m, mother of Rita Schonfeld (Louis) and Edith Shachter (Harold).
The funeral will be 4pm today, Wednesday, at Berkowitz Kumin. Burial will be Friday in Israel. The family will return Sunday and sit shiva in Cleveland next week. Details to follow.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Sarah Rachel Cohen. Mrs. Cohen was originally from Cleveland and recently resided in Lakewood. She was just a couple days shy of her 80th birthday.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Shmuel Yaakov, and her children Mrs. Devorah Waxman (Lakewood), Mrs. Leora Cohen (Beitar), Mrs. Elana Dubovick (Chicago), Mrs. Yehudis Saftlas (Melbourne, Australia), Mrs. Chaya Abrams (Denver), Yoel Cohen (Lakewood), Zev Cohen (Lakewood), and Levi Cohen (Lakewood).

A devoted and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Hannah is survived by her 3 children: Gerald (Dana) Porath of Neve Daniel, Israel, Arlene (Ephraim) Arfe of New York City and Laura (David) Steinberg of Beachwood, Ohio, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday December 22 at 2:30pm at Zion Memorial Park.

Agudath Israel of Ohio will be chartering a bus to the national Siyum Hashas.
The first bus is full. Depending on interest, there will possibly be a second bus. Price per ticket will depend on the size of the bus.
The bus will be leaving on January 1st, 2020 at approximately 3:30am and will depart Met Life Stadium at approximately 6:00pm.
If you would like to reserve a seat on the second bus, please contact us no later than Sunday evening, December 15th.

The list is published as a partnership between Local Jewish News and Mrs. Chanie Malcmacher in the hope that it will cause even more community members to be mispalel on behalf of those in need. It will continue its practice of approximately six bi-monthly print editions.
In order to maintain seder, the following long-standing guidelines remain in place for the inclusion of a name:
Currently, the community has the merit of completing the entire Tehillim nearly two times daily. To participate in a daily completion of the Tehillim, please email Mrs. Malcmacher at justdaven@gmail.com.
