Mr. Fishel Steinmetz will be sitting shiva in Cleveland at 3840 Shannon Road from 2pm Thursday until Shabbos.

Thursday Mincha/Maaariv is at 8:25pm. Shacharis on Friday is at 7:10am.  Mincha on Erev Shabbos is at 2pm.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Chaim Shea Steinmetz, brother of Mr. Fishel Steinmetz. Mr. Fishel Steinmetz will be sitting shiva in Brooklyn at 1235 40th St., through Wednesday evening. He will be sitting shiva in Cleveland at 3840 Shannon Road from 2pm Thursday until Shabbos.

Shacharis on Friday is at 7:10am. Mincha/Maaariv is at 8:25pm.

We regret to inform you of the passing of  Mrs. Elaine Bookman, Hinda Esther bas R’ Abba Yehoshua, mother of Mr. Jeff Bookman.

The Levaya will take place Sunday May 13, 2018 in Lakewood, NJ at the Lakewood Cemetery, 782 E. 7th St. at 1:00 pm. Shiva will take place at 195 Washington Ave. in Edison, New Jersey.

Mr. Jeff Bookman will be returning to Cleveland for the completion of shiva on Thursday and Friday. Cleveland shiva details will be announced later in the week.

Eretz Yisrael Levaya and Shiva Information – R. Mendy Klein

The Levaya in Eretz Yisrael for R’ Mendy Klein Z”L will take place on Monday morning at approximately 9:45 am at Yeshiva Kaminetz – 22 Yecheskal in Yerushalayim. The Kvura will follow on Har Menuchos. The family will be sitting shiva on Monday following the Kvura at 27 Ben Maimon in Rechavia. The family will be leaving Eretz Yisrael on Monday evening.

Mrs. Ita Klein, Mrs. Edna Jaffa, Mrs. Dina Halpern, Mr. Yoni Klein and Mr. Nati Klein will be sitting shiva for their husband/father – our dear member and friend Mr. Mendy Klein (R’ Menachem Moshe ben R’ Naphtali Hertzka) Z”L in Cleveland at the Klein home 23453 Timberlane beginning Tuesday Afternoon until Sunday Morning. Shiva times are as follows:

With tears and an extremely heavy heart we regret to inform you of the untimely passing of the holy R. Mendy Klein, of blessed memory.

All of Klal Yisroel has suffered a tremendous loss today.

The levaya will be Friday at 12:00pm at Yavne. Kevura will be in Eretz Yisroel.

A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, March 28th, at 11 a.m. at Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz followed by burial at Mount Olive Cemetery.

Armin Jacob passed away March 24. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Loving father of Marty (Elaine) Jacob, Bob (Debby) Jacob and Nancy Jacob. A Holocaust survivor and member of Oheb Zedek-Cedar Sinai Synagogue (Taylor Road Synagogue). Cherished grandfather of Deborah (Eric) Hurwitz, Jenny (Randy) Begley, David (Makayla) Jacob, Danny (Ruth) Jacob and Adam Jacob. Step-grandfather of Hallie (Drew) Benigar and Heather (Phil) Wendzicki. Great-grandfather of 16.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27 at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel in Cleveland Heights. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon.

Shiva will be observed at the house, 4497 Mackall Road in South Euclid as follows:

  • Tuesday following the funeral until 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday & Thursday 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 p.m.
  • Friday 10 a.m. – noon

Donations to Oheb Zedek-Cedar Sinai, Taylor Road Synagogue or charity of your choice.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Rebbitzen Sora Ita Katz, wife of Harav Chaim Tzvi Hakohen Katz zt”l, and mother of Rav Betzalel Katz (Lakewood), Rav Shmuel Yeshaya Katz (South Fallsburg), Rav Elya Nota Katz (Monsey), Rav Motty Katz (NYC), Rav Avrohom Katz (Toronto), Rav Aizik Moshe Katz (Lakewood), Mrs. Dini Breslauer (South Fallsburg), and Mrs. Zeacy Kaplan (Bensonhurst).

The levaya was held Sunday morning in Boro Park. A levaya will be held in Cleveland Monday morning at 10:00am in the Telshe Yeshiva Dining Room.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Robert Zukerman, husband of Marlene Zukerman of Pittsburgh, and father of Jodie (Dr. Steven) Goldman, Larry (Norma) Zukerman, Lynda Schiff of Columbus, and Jeffrey (Debby) Zukerman of Pittsburgh.

The funeral will take place on Friday, January 26th at 11:30am at Shaare Torah Congregation, 2319 Murray Avenue in Pittsburgh.

Shiva will be observed in Pittsburgh at the Zukerman residence, 1485 Laurel Drive, through Sunday evening.
