From Shimeon Weiner:
Making a minyan at the home of a mourner – and ladies, this may also pertain to you.
My friend from Jerusalem, Shimon Apisdorf is here, and his mother passed away. His parents live in an apartment building right near Fairmount and Warrensville. An easy ride from either neighborhood. Yet, we were 3 short of a minyan this morning. Even though I tried to get the word out – I will try harder – AND – I will implore you not to assume that THE OTHER person will go. You must be person to go! Ladies – if applicable – send your husband or son. the location is simple to find – there are siddurim – and yes – it’s a mitzvah.
So here is the info – Location – 20676 Fairmount Blvd. Apt 301. Across from CVS – park in front of the building – or at the CVS – Shachris at 7am – Mincha 8:45 followed a few minutes later by Maariv. Perhaps you have enjoyed some of Shimon’s books – The Rosh Hashanna Survival Guide – and Passover Survival Guide. Don’t assume someone else will go – you be the person to go – and make it happen. Thank you.
