Amazon Prime Day Deals on Amazon Devices
Today is Amazon Prime Day. The deals below are already active and end tomorrow. If you’re not a Prime member, the first thing to do is start with a 30-day trial Prime membership.
Kindle Paperwhite, normally $119.99 now $79.99 (33% off)! If you’re a traveler, you’re probably better off using your phones hotspot intermittently or just downloading ebooks before you leave but there’s also a Kindle Paperwhite with free cellular connectivity for $149.99, a savings of $40.
$69.99 (normally $124.98!) for a Kindle for Kids Bundle with the latest Kindle E-reader with a 2 year worry-free warranty. This isn’t a tablet and as with most Kindles can only be used for reading, not for internet surfing.
Ring Video Doorbell Pro is $174. Normally $249.99 ($239.99 at Costco).
Echo Plus $164.98, $149.99 now $99.99, has better audio specs than the Echo (2nd Generation). If you’re a techie, you’ll definitely want to go with the Echo Plus since it’s also a smart home hub that can control other bluetooth, WiFi, or Zigbee devices, even those bought elsewhere. Normally $164.98, now $99.99 and includes a Philips smart light bulb that can be plugged into any existing socket and remotely controlled by the Echo Plus. Alternative deals are a certified refurbished Echo Plus without the lightbulb for $87.99
If you’re just looking for the best deal on an Echo (2nd Generation), you can also get it certified refurbished for $59.99. The Echo is available in five fabric styles.
Side perk of the Echo and Echo Plus is free audio calls to anywhere in North America.

Rediscover Entenmann’s Outlet and Its Many Parve Items
from a reader:
I recently rediscovered that the Entenmann’s Outlet on Mayfield Rd. in the Greens strip mall off Brainard Rd. (Behind Walgreens) has MANY PARVE ITEMS.
Apparently this used to be known but has fallen out of common knowledge in our community in recent decades.
I must have passed this place a gazillion times before once noticing that the outlet is not only for the Entemanns pastries which are dairy and therefore not Cholov Yisrael before noticing that they also carry Thomas Bagels, Brownberry breads and other items including sandwich thins, bagels you’ve never heard of, rye seeded and seedless, and more all regularly about $1.25 and on Wednesday’s EVERYTHING is $1. Great way to save money on sandwiches.
