Benny Kaufman used to give out a free white mouse with every bicycle he sold. The little bonuses appealed to his younger customers.

Though he was ultimately told to dispense with the mice, the 13-year-old who started out collecting spare parts and building bicycles out of them would eventually helm an enterprise that would he would pass along to his sons, Neil and Mark.
