New School Seforim Gemach Hours

The School Seforim Gemach will be open IY”H on Wednesdays, August 19 and 26, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and Thursdays, August 20 and 27, 10:00-11:00 am. Address: 3802 Bendemeer. If you have any questions, please email SchoolSeforimGemach@gmail.com. The gemach is l’iluy nishmas Rochel bas Chaim Mendel.

Reservations are strongly recommended. When making your reservation, please include the date, time and # of people.
A reminder that if you have any dietary restrictions or questions about the menu, please ask beforehand so we can do our best to accomodate you.
Also, no matter how you place your reservation (phone, email, text), you should receive an email confirmation. If you don’t receive it, it means we probably don’t have your reservation.

Agudath Israel Appeal for Community Members to Act Against the Iran Deal

Agudath Israel has written a letter in which they make clear how important it is for the Jewish community to speak out against the Iran Deal and urge their congresspersons to dispprove the current deal and push for a better stronger deal. The letter appears below and includes a link to some important facts and sample form letters. Also Yitz Frank has provided the following local updates for Cleveland community member with links to their updated contact info:
Dear Friends of Agudath Israel of America:
As many experts and elected officials have pointed out, the deal recently concluded with Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear program raises serious concerns for the United States and its allies, especially Israel.  Indeed, the full spectrum of Israeli political opinion has come out strongly against the proposed deal, calling it an “existential threat” to the people of Israel.

Cleveland Heights citizens financial task force holds first meeting

(Cleveland.com)(Ed: Thanks to  community member, Mark (Menashe) Weiss for being on the committee.)

The city’s Independent Finance Task Force — a group of four residents charged with reviewing the city’s budget and financial projections — will have its first meeting at 5:30 p.m. today in City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

The group includes Danny Williams, former Cleveland law director and Cuyahoga County administrator.
