An Appeal for Donations to Cover the Medical Expenses of Yonathan Linder

linderDear Cleveland Residents,

I’m writing to you today to ask for financial support, emotional support or both.

As some of you know our son Yonathan, 25, had brain surgery for his severe epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic in 2013, and recently another brain surgery. This surgery is not done yet in Israel. He has an implant called RNS that will reduce his seizures greatly, or in best case, eliminate them completely. The surgery was done on April 22 and the next appointment is on June 19th. After that he will have to come back to Cleveland Clinic every 6 weeks for 4­-6 times, depending on how he will response to the device.

FutureHeights and CHPD to host forum on policing in Cleveland Heights

“Understanding Policing in Cleveland Heights,” an open forum with Cleveland Heights Police Chief Jeffrey Robertson and other representatives of the CHPD, will be held 7–8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at the Cleveland Heights Community Center.

Hosted by FutureHeights, the event will help residents understand how the police department is evolving to protect and improve public safety in Cleveland Heights.

Aish ReStore- Everything Deserves a Second Chance

Aish ReStore is excited to announce a partnership with Mr. G. Weiser and Alon Yitzchak Makalsky of Yavne Clothing Donations.

The Aish thrift shop is to become a reality! The 1000 square foot re-store will feature women and children’s  clothing, knickknacks, linens, toys, small furniture and more! Donations to Yavne bins will be sorted in the store and usable items we be kept in our local community!
Drop off bins are already set up behind the store at 4141 Mayfield Road. Stay tuned for store opening updates!!

The Director of Community Services will be responsible for the oversight of the direct services provided by the Federation. The department meets the immediate needs of community members through various services, including, but not limited to, Access Jewish Cleveland, the Chaplaincy Program, Community Options Resources, Jewish Community Housing Program, and various grants.
