About 70 student-athletes who took part in what athletic director Dennis Greenwald called “the best year ever in Fuchs Mizrachi (School) sports history” were recognized at an awards banquet May 21 at the school in Beachwood.
“We had two (Northeast Ohio League) MVPs and two league champions,” Greenwald said. “I don’t think we can top that.”

Benjamin Hoen, an attorney with the Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co. law firm, has been appointed to a four-year term on the Cleveland Heights board of zoning appeals.
Cleveland Heights City Council made the appointment. The zoning board handles requests for variances and hears appeals of decisions made by city officials.
