What To Do With Dead Animals
(Reader)
Each municipality has different policies about collecting dead animals. A reader wrote to share that in Cleveland Heights, the public works service dept.will pick up dead cats, racoons etc. from tree lawn if you put it in a bag and bring it there. They wont come on private property. You should call between 7 am-12pm to let them know to pick it up that day. 216-691-7300. Also policies on traps and live animal removal have changed over the years. Please pass this information along and share with us policies and procedures in other areas if it will be helpful (via comments).

Marching into Darkness: The Wehrmacht and the Holocaust in Belarus by Waitman Wade Beorn copyright 2014.
“On October 10, 1941, the entire Jewish population of the Belarusian village of Krucha was rounded up and shot. While Nazi death squads routinely carried out mass executions
on the Eastern Front, this particular atrocity was not the work of the SS but was committed by a regular German army unit acting on its own initiative. Marching into Darkness is a bone-chilling expose of the ordinary foot soldiers who participated in the Final Solution on a daily basis.” (Publisher’s Description)
