Emmett’s Story – Button Battery Ingestion Awareness
A tiny button battery almost took our sweet son’s life. A battery found in many household items and easily accessible inside almost every home. We were completely ignorant to the danger lurking so close to our small sons. This shiny bite-sized button battery, is as poisonous as putting drain cleaner in you Toddlers favorite sippy cup. With proper education, we could have avoided this terrible accident that has changed our lives forever. Please educate yourself along with your friends and loved ones about what could happen if your Toddler puts one of these “button batteries” into their mouth. Medically speaking our boy Emmett, shouldn’t have lived through this deadly trauma. He is a walking Miracle. The ingestion of Button Batteries has become an epidemic among families across America. “Every year in the United States, more than 3,500 people of all ages swallow miniature disc or “button batteries”, stated by the National Capital Poison Center.

When is it a “good idea” to have a double parsha?
Since this week is the first of the “double parshiyos” we will be reading this year, I thought it appropriate to discuss:
Double Parshiyos
By Rabbi Yirmiyohu Kaganoff
When is it a good idea to have doubles?
Most doctors and other health professionals agree with the Rambam’s assessment that taking a double portion is not good for our health. Nevertheless, in most calendar years, our policy is to have several weeks when we read a double parsha so that we are able to complete the Torah every year and make a Siyum HaTorah on Simchas Torah.

Sign-up For Cleveland Meshulachim Email Updates
(Submitted by Avrohom Henfield)
The period of time between Purim and Pesach is a time of year that frequently brings many meshulachim to Cleveland. This year has started out as no exception. This is a reminder that you may sign up for the Hachnosis Orchim of Cleveland email list by sending an email with your name and email address to: hochorchcle@gmail.com. I try to stay current by sending out a photo and brief bio of every meshulach staying at the Hachnosis Orchim. I will also occasionally do the same regarding individuals who unfortunately did not “check out.” There is no charge for the e-newsletter. Interested in helping the Hochnosis Orchim of Cleveland?
Free Lego Minibuild Workshop
On the first Tuesday of each month (or 2nd if pushed off by a holiday), local Lego stores host a free LEGO build workshop for kids ages 6-14 and this includes our local store at Beachwood Place.
Each participant is given their own mini-model set which they build and can take home for free. The image show is an example of the free February model. Of course the gashmiyus temptations are abundant, but this may be the get-out-of-the-house experience that is needed.
The event starts at 5pm. Here is the Beachwood store info.
