Busy plumbing office is looking for a qualified office manager that can work independently. Candidate MUST have the ability to multi-task in order to receive incoming calls, schedule jobs, talk to customers and work with plumbing supply companies, insurance agents and city officials. Previous dispatch experience would be helpful but is not necessary. Other duties include invoicing, filing, scanning and all basic office responsibilities. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel, as well as the ability to navigate on-line are absolutes. Experience with social media and marketing is preferred. Ikea breaks ground for new store in Columbus

Ikea is coming — to Columbus.

The Swedish home furnishings store on Wednesday broke ground on its new store  east of the Polaris Fashion Place mall at the north end of the city. The site used to be home to the Germain Amphitheater.

The 355,000-square foot store is slated to open in summer 2017. The store will have 1,100 parking spaces to accommodate Ikea shoppers from central Ohio and beyond. In addition to furniture and decor, visitors can dine on various foods including the company’s famous meatballs in a 450-seat restaurant.

Yesh Tikvah Launches “Tikvah For Teens” Pilot Program

yeshtikvagMany Chesed organizations exist to help with medical care, yet many times, mental health care is not included. We can’t push off care for a broken arm or appendicitis, but if a marriage is in trouble, it’s easier to push it aside then find money for treatment in a tight budget. Yesh Tikvah is an organization that brings hope to Clevelanders who need mental health care, but can’t afford it.

Up until now, Yesh Tikvah has served only clients 18 years or older. However, the need to serve teens in our community has been studied. In 2010, Dr. Mendel Singer, PhD., MPH did a survey of the three main schools serving the Orthodox community. Participants in the study answered questions about stress, depression, and living up to expectations.
