Words of Chizzuk About the “Little” Things
(Submitted by a reader)
I just started working last week as a coordinator in a Holocaust survivors program. I’m very happy with this job b”H for many reasons but the main reason is because of the daily life mussar that pop as result of my involvement with these older people. One lesson in particular that I’ve been thinking a lot about in the past few days is the value of a small gesture. Some clients call in when they’re happy, some when they’re sad. But when I answer the phone…the small nuances in my voice make the biggest difference on how the client walks away from the phone call.

60 x 126 Inch Rectangular Polyester Tablecloth – 9 Bucks!
This is not the lowest price on the 60 x 126 in. Rectangular White Tablecloth. Last year it was$6.30 but at least the price dropped from its usual $11 to $9! It is shipped by Amazon so you can even get free shipping if you have Prime or spend over $25. At that price you may not even have to worry about laundry during Yom Tov!
Note that this cloth is 100% polyester so it is not fancy linen by any sort, still gets excellent reviews, and something to have extra of for Pesach. Stain resistant too.

May One Sleep on Rosh Hashana? By Rabbi Biyomin Radner
The Rema, O.C. 583:2 writes that there is a custom not to sleep during the day on Rosh Hashana and that this is a proper custom. This is based on a Yerushalmi which says that one who sleeps on Rosh Hashana his mazel will sleep.
The Bach, O.C. 597:1 states as follows, “The Yerushalmi which says not to sleep on Rosh Hashana is based on the Pasuk, “Uru yeshainim mishinaschem- Awake oh sleepy ones from your slumber”. Meaning how can someone go to sleep while being judged with his life is hanging in the balance? Additionally it shows laziness. However the Maharam MiRutenberg would in fact sleep on Rosh Hashana, like on any other Yom Tov.”

New home buyers to the Cleveland area, should note the following important news updates:

- Visit the Northeast Ohio Real Estate Source web page for information on other similar programs.
- University Heights and Beachwood do not have any specific programs for down payment assistance.
