Looking to hire:

Director: To run programs and events to inspire, enable and promote kiruv rechokim in the frum community. Part-time position.

Female Coordinator:  As above for women. Particular focus will be on activating the frum community to recruit less affiliated women to educational Israel trips and involve frum women in the follow up on their return. Part-time position.

The City of Cleveland Heights asks residents to nominate a “deserving homeowner”—or themselves—for the city’s Community Improvement or Tender Loving Care awards.

For a property to qualify, the improvements must be visible from a public right-of-way and must make the area more attractive. Residents can nominate a property for restoration, renovation, an addition, outdoor furniture or sitting areas, lighting, new construction, signage and painting, and excellent maintenance. Overcrowded University Parkway & Milton Bus Stop

(Below is a posting on Facebook from Shmuel Kessler trying to get the word out about what seems to be a problem in the CHUH School District’s bus stop planning)

The photo is of the University Parkway/Milton HAC bus stop. There were definitely more than 20 kids at the stop Monday, probably closer to 30, and we know of more that were assigned to this stop that didn’t make it today. Kids are assigned from houses that require crossing Milton and University Parkway. Parents with months-old babies were there. Kids that should have been at home sleeping were there. While not condoned, there were kids left at home. One family showed up in their minivan.

Q: Does flavored beer need a hechsher?

A: Yes, flavored beer requires a hechsher.

Q: I recently acquired a basting brush whose bristles are made with pig hair. Are there any kashrus concerns?

A: No, there are no restrictions on using pig hair, and the basting brush may be used.

Q: Do I need to buy cranberry juice with a reliable kosher certification?

A: Juices can be pasteurized while hot in the same pasteurizer used for non-kosher products, such as grape juice, and therefore juices must bear a reliable kosher symbol.
