Sign-up For Cleveland Meshulachim Email Updates
(Submitted by Avrohom Henfield)
The period of time between Purim and Pesach is a time of year that frequently brings many meshulachim to Cleveland. This year has started out as no exception. This is a reminder that you may sign up for the Hachnosis Orchim of Cleveland email list by sending an email with your name and email address to: hochorchcle@gmail.com. I try to stay current by sending out a photo and brief bio of every meshulach staying at the Hachnosis Orchim. I will also occasionally do the same regarding individuals who unfortunately did not “check out.” There is no charge for the e-newsletter. Interested in helping the Hochnosis Orchim of Cleveland?
Free Lego Minibuild Workshop
On the first Tuesday of each month (or 2nd if pushed off by a holiday), local Lego stores host a free LEGO build workshop for kids ages 6-14 and this includes our local store at Beachwood Place.
Each participant is given their own mini-model set which they build and can take home for free. The image show is an example of the free February model. Of course the gashmiyus temptations are abundant, but this may be the get-out-of-the-house experience that is needed.
The event starts at 5pm. Here is the Beachwood store info.

My Alcohol Free Purim
By Israel Heger
NCSY International Board
Central East NCSY Regional Board Vice President
Cleveland NCSY VP of Jrs
Surprised? You might have assumed that I consumed mass amounts of alcohol during my Purim experience. On the contrary, I received my ecstasy through means of a different substance- a substance that cannot be synthesized by getting drunk or high. The substance that I am referring to is actually true happiness in its purest form. And yes, just to be as clear as possible, it was achieved without consuming any chemically altering substances.
Hebrew Academy to honor Wolovitzes, Soclof
(Cleveland Jewish News)
Seventy years is a major milestone for Bais Chinuch HaRav Dessler, the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland, according to education director Rabbi Simcha Dessler.
“Our founding fathers, the spiritual giants and visionary lay leaders dared to dream when they established the Academy on the ashes of the Holocaust 70 years ago,” Dessler said. “They could not have possibly imagined the profound impact and ripple effect it would have on future generations. Today, day schools across the globe in all denominations and representing the widest spectrum of Judaism are no longer a dream. They are a reality.”
