Giant Eagle Nixes Foodperks Program
(Ed: Not the FuelPerks program, but it’s still kinda complicated what program to use at the gas pump. Basically if you have accumulated Fuel Perks (.10 every $50 spent) then use those at Get Go but if you have none left, you can still scan your Advantage card and take advantage of the new .03 off every gallon program regardless of accumulate rewards. )
The food and gas retailer Giant Eagle will no longer offer its foodperks program to customers after Feb. 13.
The ending of the program comes as the company is now offering a 3-cent per gallon discount anytime customers swipe their Giant Eagle Advantage cards at GetGo gas stations.
Foodperks allowed GetGo customers to get discounts on food at Giant Eagle.

Heavy Preparations Underway for Parnassah Expo
(Press Release)
By now, we have all read about the upcoming historic “Nationwide Parnassah Expo and Business Networking Event.” Following months of feverish preparation, and a skyrocketing list of booths and attendees, the event is just around the corner: Tuesday, February 12th, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (from noon through 8:00 pm).
While the last minute details, from traffic and security to late reservations, are being tended to, it is clear that there has never been anything of remotely this scale in our community’s history. Figures such as New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Investors Bank CEO Kevin Cummings, Attorney Nat Lewin, marketing guru Menachem Lubinsky, executives from Goldman Sachs and Co. and PricewaterhouseCoopers, along with countless business owners and activists from within our community, are preparing for their active presence at the expo.
