Free Lego Minibuild Workshop

February 5, 2013 Leave a Comment

On the first Tuesday of each month (or 2nd if pushed off by a holiday), local Lego stores host a free LEGO build workshop for kids ages 6-14 and this includes our local store at Beachwood Place.

Each participant is given their own mini-model set which they build and can take home for free. The image show is an example of the free February model. Of course the gashmiyus temptations are abundant, but this may be the get-out-of-the-house experience that is needed.

The event starts at 5pm. Here is the Beachwood store info.

New Exhibit at Great Lakes Science Center – Alert For Cohanim

February 5, 2013 Leave a Comment

The new Lost Egypt exhibit at the Great Lakes Science Center features the following:

  • “See a real human mummy and—for the first time ever—life-size rapid prototypes, displaying the mummy in various stages of “unwrapping”
  • Examine forensic facial reconstructions of four different human mummies
  • Discover animal mummies and learn how and why animals were mummified”

For Cohanim, there seems to be a reason to ask a shayla if visiting. Please be advised.
