Chaverim recognizes Cleveland Heights police chief

Cleveland Heights Police Chief Jeff Robertson received the Community Service Award from Chaverim of Cleveland at its Member Appreciation Event Feb. 26 at Davis Caterers in Cleveland Heights.
Rabbi Sruly Wolf, longtime chaplain of the Cleveland Police Department and Chaverim’s community liaison, presented the award to Robertson before about 80 people. Wolf called Robertson a mensch “in the true sense of the word.”
Chaverim of Cleveland Celebrates Second Anniversary
If you’ve ever experienced a flat tire as you’re rushing to the airport to make a flight or your car not starting as your kids get ready for morning carpool — then you can certainly appreciate the importance of the work Chaverim does.
Chaverim is comprised of a group of 25 dedicated volunteers, including 4 dispatchers, who are trained and ready to be of service for just about any and all non-medical emergency situations that may arise. From giving “dead” cars a boost, to delivering hospital equipment to those needing it at home, to helping set up a shivah home, Chaverim is on call 24/6 to assist the community out in whatever way they can.

Chaverim of Cleveland Celebrates One-Year Anniversary
Chaverim of Cleveland recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, and the volunteer organization showed its appreciation to its members with a dinner event sponsored by local individuals who wanted to express their hakoras hatov for the help Chaverim delivers to the community each and every day.
