(Plain Dealer)(Ed: For those who have been looking at their gas bills, deciding to go the fixed or variable route, this is news!)
Natural gas wholesale prices tumbled Monday, setting the stage for lower prices for some consumers in August and possibly into the fall and early winter.
Predictions of cooler than normal temperatures in the eastern half of the nation during the next two weeks sent commodity traders scrambling to sell, driving down the final price for gas delivered in August by 10 cents to $3.45 for 1,000 cubic feet.
