Berry season in Northeast Ohio; where to pick your own
(Cleveland.com)
Seize this berry moment.
Summer red raspberries are ripe. Currants of all colors (red, black, white and pink) are marching in. And blueberries are starting their journey from local farms to our fingers to our mouths. Brave are those who let us wander their orchards to pick, knowing we tend to eat at the same time.

How safe is your baby’s medicine bottle? Infant Tylenol and other liquid acetaminophen products have a new safety feature
(ConsumerReports.org)
Drug accidents send more kids under the age of 6 to the emergency room than car crashes. About 10,000 cases a year involve liquid medications, such as cough and cold medicines, as well as infant and child versions of the pain reliever and fever reducer acetaminophen (Tylenol and generic versions). It takes only a moment of caregiver inattention for a curious little one to grab a medicine bottle to try to get to the syrupy liquid inside.

Now Your Kids Can Also Learn the Daf
(Ed: I saw this recently and thought it was a cute and effective concept, but have not tried it since my oldest is not ready for Daf Yomi :>. One of the most beautiful things about Torah is its ability to connect different generations and this certainly tries to do this.)
Daf Yomi 4 Kids is a printable monthly e-publication (in PDF format) for children ages 6 to 14 that follows the Daf Yomi cycle established by Rabbi Meir Shapiro in 1923. Each double sided page of Daf Yomi 4 Kids corresponds to the daf (Talmud folio) being studied in Daf Yomi. Click here for a sample of the first issue.
Daf Yomi 4 Kids has won the esteem of top rabbis and Jewish educational experts.
The colorful, easy-to-understand content of Daf Yomi 4 Kids ensures it will be a hit with children and educators alike. Children will be so captivated they will not even realize they are learning!

Free Lego Minibuild Workshop
On the first Tuesday of each month (or 2nd if pushed off by a holiday), local Lego stores host a free LEGO build workshop for kids ages 6-14 and this includes our local store at Beachwood Place.
Each participant is given their own mini-model set which they build and can take home for free. The image show is an example of the free February model. Of course the gashmiyus temptations are abundant, but this may be the get-out-of-the-house experience that is needed.
The event starts at 5pm. Here is the Beachwood store info.
