We regret to inform you of the passing of Nili Adler, the wife of Rabbi Moshe Adler of Beth El-The Heights Synagogue in Cleveland Heights, devoted her life to teaching people Hebrew and the importance of Hebrew education. After a long battle with an illness, Adler died on Feb. 25. She was 71. “She was extremely passionate about making sure the Hebrew language didn’t dissipate and die out,” said Sheryl Hirsh, the assistant director of Jewish Lifelong Learning of the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, who worked with Adler for 15 years.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Yosef Ben Mordechai- Rabbi Yosef Fabian. He was 99 years old when hit by a car in Los Angeles earlier this week. He was the beloved father of Mrs. Chaya Lebovics (Los Angeles) and Mrs. Alliza Thav (Baltimore), and grandfather to Rabbi Aharon Dovid Lebovics (Cleveland Heights) as well as to many other grandchilren . He as a Rabbi to countless students, young and old. There will be a levayah in Cleveland, Thursday night, Jan 9th, 9pm at Young Israel of Greater Cleveland (Beachwood).  There will be/ was a funeral Wednesday evening, January 8th in Los Angeles at 8:15pm PST at the JLE, 512 N. Shoshana (Porath) Haas, June 23, 1926-Sept. 7, 2013, devoted wife of Meyer, loving mother of daughters Sharon Rothberg (Samuel), Yehudit Spero (Moshe), Debby Henderson (Douglas), Joanne Barth (Natan) and cherished son, Daniel Haas, a”h, who pre-deceased her on July 21, 1982 in battle, defending the State of Israel. Shoshana was the daughter of the late Rabbi Israel Porath a”h and Peshe Miriam Porath a”h and loving sister of 6 brothers, one who survives her in Israel, Rabbi Benjamin Porath.
