(From an LJN Reader)
Looking for some inspirational music to listen to while cleaning for Pesach? Yosef Karduner’s new album, Dibbur Pashut (Simple Speech), is a wonderful collection of songs about yearning for closeness with Hashem, and rejoicing in Hashem. About my favorite song, “Sos Asis,” he writes in the liner notes: “Rav Zilviger told me that every Yid is different and is a unique creation in itself and therefore can make a special Nachat to Hashem. He told me about the commentary of the Maggid of Mezritch Zt”l fo the Passuk “Sos Asis B’Hashem”: Sos – I am happy, Asis – I make Hashem happy. Hashem created me as a unique creation unlike any other in this world and I can make Hashem happy in a way that no other can, and that is the reason for my own happiness.”
The songs are soulful, heartfelt, uplifting. Available at local Judaica stores.
